Photography

HEWAK specializes in location, editorial, portrait and commercial photography and digital art of all kinds. At HEWAK, you will find expert Photoshop and retouching skills.

HEWAK Photographic Services also provides in-house photography for its own design commissions, including websites, brochures, newsletters, reports and other documents.

About John Hewak

John Hewak has been integrating text, image and design for more than 20 years. After graduating with a Master's degree in philosophy, he became an editor and designer of medical educational software at BC Decker Publishing. John's freelance career began at the Hamilton Spectator, where he wrote, edited and photographed for the special sections for several years. Later he proofread and copy edited textbooks—including titles in law, English as a second language, and social sciences—for Harcourt Brace in Toronto.

More recently, John worked as a communications officer with St. Joseph's Healthcare Foundation and Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation. In 2006, John joined the Good Shepherd Development Office as communications manager and was responsible for direct mail marketing, newsletter development and design, writing and editing, event communications and design, and web design and content production.

John turned full time to hewak.ca in 2009, bringing enhanced skills and experience in web and print design and project management. Read more about John Hewak.
